Keratin bonds for hair extension

Hair extensions usually have bonds with which they are attached to your own hair. One of the most common types of connection is keratin. Keratin consists of water-insoluble fiber proteins. Our own hair and nails are also mainly made of keratin. This is why this material is particularly suitable for attaching human hair extensions. Keratin bonds are available in various shapes: I-tip, U-tip, V-tip and round bonds. All you need to work with keratin bonds is a good heat iron, ideally one that can get up to 210°C hot. This is because the keratin has to be liquefied; this is the only way it can enclose all the individual hairs and ensure a good hold. The quality of the bonds is also important, of course. Impure keratin or keratin mixtures can melt easily and usually hold well, but are almost impossible to remove from the hair, which can of course be very problematic when you have to remove them. Normally, you need remover pliers and a bond remover to remove strands with keratin bonds. If the bonds are made of pure keratin, removing the hair extensions takes less than 30 minutes - and without leaving any residue or losing your own hair.
