Application

Place the rings on the micro ring needle by sliding them o from above. Separate a hairv strand, grab it with the hook of the needle and slide the ring upwards so that it sits near the scalp. Pliers are required to close the ring.
The micro ring needle is also suitable for eurolocks and shrinkies with a diameter from 2mm and above.

Application of the microring needle

This tool was developed for working with micro rings. The hook made of robust but finely crafted metal helps to attach the rings to the hair strands. Here is an overview of how to use it:

Preparation: Select the appropriate rings and place several rings on the needle.
Sectioning: Precise and clean sectioning is essential for any type of hair extension. There should not be too little hair in the ring.
Place and secure the ring: Grab the strand of hair with the hook and push the ring upwards so that it is positioned at the root of the hair. Nano/micro ring pliers are recommended for closing the rings.
(How exactly the extensions are installed depends on the extension method. We generally recommend to have the extensions installed by an extension stylist/ a trained hairdresser.)

The weft technique

The microring needle is suitable for various hair extension methods. In our shop, you will find wefts that can be sewn in using microrings. You can use either this microring needle or a loop needle to attach the rings – whichever suits you best. Sew-in wefts are popular among extension wearers for several reasons. Firstly, because they require neither heat nor glue for installation, ensuring a clean and easy removal without the need for solvents. Furthermore, when used correctly, the wefts are gentle on your natural hair. However, not every hairdresser offers this technique. It is important to have the hair extensions installed professionally and to remove or re-install them after a reasonable period of time.

We recommend that extensions with microrings be installed only by well-trained professionals. This will ensure a secure hold and prevent hair damage.

Is this tool suitable for different hair textures?

The microring needle is versatile and works on both fine and thick hair, as well as wavy or straight hair. It is important that the section of hair is of an appropriate thickness.

Can I use the microring needle for nano rings?

No. Nano rings are usually too small for this tool. We recommend a loop needle for those.

Which is better: the microring needle or the loop needle?

It's up to you whether you use a loop needle or a microring needle for the microrings. Basically, it depends on what you find easier. If you're working with nano rings, you'll need the loop needle.
